MTM Studio Net

Hi,
we all have different 'specific interests' for specific pieces of hardware or software and tend to follow developments of certain items more than others.

If we all post here about what's new today we may end up benefitting from 'the most up to date news thread around!'

New mics, synths, OS upgrades, effect units, controller keyboards, etc...

You just bought your copy of MTM and can't wait for next issue for the news pages? Fire up the MTM community page, come to this thread and get an instant update of what's new in the world of music production :)

Let's not post about stuff that has not been released yet. Only stuff that has actually been released on the day (or a few days before) you post the news.

NOTE: to keep this thread snappy and useful it is preferable that you only post a short news flash of a new release.

- A picture of the new item (So people can see if they want to read more about it or not)
- A few lines to say what's all about (short brief)
- A link to the site with full info

Short news would also allow for more posts per pages.

I would say the best use for this thread here on the MTM forum would be to indeed only post short news and have us forum-users adding a comment when we are really interested in a specific release. A post about a new release that has plenty of interest/comments could be an indication for MTM about what new release they could focus on, research further for their next issue!
That could work!

HINT: how to keep pictures small.when you click on 'add an image' to add an... image :) The autogenerated html will default picture size to 300. Simply review that line of HTML and make the number smaller. I try to not go over 200 Pixels, it looks better. Thanks

The price sounds interesting, hopefully we will see some review of these somewhere soon.
Hi all

Mauro, thank you for posting so much but in a way this thread is becoming really hard to read.
What I mean is that I assumed people would post just a short news about something being released,
- a picture of the new item (So people can see if they want to read more about it or not)
- a few lines to say what's all about (short brief)
- a link to the site with full info

Short news would also allow for more posts per pages.
But by pasting the whole press release and info makes each page really hard and dry to read. People may get scared by so much information and just go away without reading.

So here comes my point... "ask the community (and MTM guys)"
Is anyone actually reading this thread?

If MTM forum users don't read it I'll be fine with deleting the whole thing

If MTM forum users find a thread with news useful (especially if more people maybe contributes) then we can either leave this thread active or create niche-threads like Hardware News - Software News or even finer, DAWs, Monitors, Soft Stynhs, Hardware Synths, Mixers etc...

If we keep this thread, Mauro any chance you could delete half the info from this press releases and just keep the core-info with a link to the URL with full info?

I'm not trying to be funny or stupid, I dont' want to make the MTM community site busy with Threads that are not useful to us. Peace!
I usually don't follow threads like this, unless it's specific to what I'm doing. Even in the magazines, I just scan the headlines to see if I want to read any further.
I like short ones... can't bother reading the all thing. No time for it :)
I'm sure some people enjoy it :)
Hi,
Thank you for your posts and messages about this thread.

I had a few more messages in my inbox about keeping this thread and limiting each post to a short newsflash with link to full info-site as this allows people to quickly pick and choose which news to follow.

Of course there are other dedicated music news sites out there where people can go and read full info etc...

I would say the best use for this thread here on the MTM forum would be to indeed only post short news and have us forum-users adding a comment when we are really interested in a specific release. A post about a new release that has plenty of interest/comments could be an indication for MTM about what new release they could focus on, research further for their next issue!
