korg kaoscillator

I'm looking for a nice Christmas present and wondered if anyone could recommend the Korg Kaoscillator as one of those...once you pick it you its a devil to put down.. pieces of kit that may become an essential part of your creative arsenal.
otherwise its a new pair of slippers!!! :-)

wow! ime getting one for my Digital dj sets, it great, how did i overlook this.
i would say great for live preformance, but no midi so no syncronisation, it just audio out, so it will take some finger controlling disciplin .
But for me it will come in handy, as i dj in ableton live, and sometimes i use my korg pad kontrol to play some notes from a vst instrument, but this is a lot more convenient. and great if you cant play keyboards, as its all on co_ordination and your ears.

so live prefomance yes indeed!
Productions, great for some tripped out sound effects and samples, plug it in to audio ins on your soundcard and get recording and then editing you recorded wav .

Thanks for pointing this out, i am usually on the ball with my hi tech preformance gear,but i presumed it was just a new type of kaos pad, so missed it out.

I bought a Mini Kaoss Pad and they are highly addictive. I have mine on flying leads from the patch bay so I can use it anywhere in the room. Lots of Koassilator demos on video on YouTube. I should have bought one as well as the FX pad.
