Alright everyone. I'm sure this has come up somewhere but I'm bringing it up now. So if you know it, please show it.
I use Cubase SX3. I would like to know of any work around's for side-chaining in Cubase SX3. If you could please, in detail, explain any process you are aware of. That would be evolutionary.
If it does not exist. Then I'll have to go back to my DEVO records. :)

I am not sure myself, but i know some you tube videos that Possibly do http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HMGu-8p0go
Failing all this, although not as selective as using effects to sidehain, but you could use automation to duck, maybe save some automation pattens however you can depending on your Daw, which saves you writing it everytime.
You can try adding a quadro Group track, with 2 stereo child bus ( front and rear ). After that insert a sidechain compressor into it.
The track that you want to add sidechaining can be put into the front child bus, and the signal that make the comp. run can be sent to the rear. I use it very often and just a small problem is : the signal sounds a bit weaker when in child bus. What we need is just make it louder.
And I'm going to buy Cubase 5 Retail to make it easy.
Cheers.
how do you people come up with this stuff. It's marvelous. It will take me some time to decipher your
instructions since I have not much experience with the groups and child bus talk.
Also I have Cubase SX 3 not 4or 5. When you say quadro group what do you mean? do you mean 4 tracks in the group?
Thank you.
