I'm just recovering from working at "The Big Reunion" music festival, and I was quite dissapointed with some of the soundies that were working there. I was attached to a film crew, and so doing lots of interviews, vox pops - the usual - but when I'd approach the guys on desks and ask "what radio frequencies are you using for IEM's, vocal mic's etc" I too often received the "blank stare".

Well I feel like a stranger round here these days, lots of new members (hurrah), more structure to the forums (jolly good), lots of good posts. Splendid. It's fantastic the way in which technology has developed to allow us to record and produce music on a restricted budget and in the comfort of our own homes. I also still find it so frustrating when this technology all goes slightly wrong, and we are left flumoxed as to why things are no longer working - especially when we rely on this technology to bring in our income.
