Been messing around with sounds/music for about a year or so now. Grew up listening to mainly Hip Hop and Electronica. I'm a Sci-Fi geek as well, which is probably why I like weird Atmospheric/ Futuristic type sounds. Feel free to slate my efforts, thanks for listening.. TTS

I hope you are entering This Comp, I enjoyed Your last Entry,
A little Tip, use Simpler, Impulse, and Sampler if using ableton, and Duplicate and layer You can get some great variation By Duplicating and then altering
Simpler, Impulse, and Sampler with Automations and Pitching up and down etc. Then Just play Or write Your Midi data.Surprising How many sounds you can make From so little, you will end up with a full range of synths so to speak, i spent a little time before hand and made myself a couple of sounds For each aspect Of my track, bass, lead and so on.
How are you T, what have you been up to off late, i hope all is good and all are well.
Your music sounds much better than most of the hiphop artist that I've seen here. The thing is its different !
I like the atmosphere that you've created in Paper Stand, but it needs a bit subtractive eqing in the lower mid so when your drums come in it will have that weight. Also you need to keep that atmosphere going for few more bars to actually get the listener into it and than let the drums come in. Or if you don't want to change the arrangement than add some kind of little buildup (like rev crash or any other reverse fx that you must have heard in Shinoda's production) before drums. I don't know in this kind of atmospheric Hiphop music, drums could be loud and punchy or not. If I mix it, I will take it to somewhere else by keeping the nice atmosphere going in the background and in your face hiphop beat with groove/swing so that you could move your head to the beat and also have a deep thought from the atmosphere. And also that phaser kind of thing going from left to right, that needs eqing as well, take off some shine from it. It will let the space empty for snare and hats to breath.
I really like the atmosphere of this track and but drums aren't showing their punch. Listen to Session by Linkin Park from the album Meteora for atmosphere and drums reference.
Yes, I am in the comp this time ;) I am almost done with basic structure of the track. Now some icing on the cake is left.
Hey Tokyo, thanks for friendship. Just listening to your sounds, Opening sequence on Paper stand reminds me of Jan Michel Jarre, then it fuses into a different vibe _ Bangin!
