Sorry I didn't read this carefully, I know that the OMF format file could help you transfer all data to another DAWs, whatever it is, I think it can work with Reaper (I never use Reaper b4). I did a lot of check when moving from Sonar 4 to Cubase ...

You can't open a ver.5 file in Cubase SX. but I think when using Ver.5 there's no any reason make you go back to the lower DAWs.

Thank Mike, i'm reading the SE 4400 from the internet, I can see the photo and it's look like the C414 rite? My problem is I'm in Vietnam and it's hard to make some test with the new microphone, and to know about new brand, so thank for your advic...

You can't go wrong with a U87 mate, it's a classic mic. The 414 is great workhorse too, but if you want to save some money, you ought to at least try the SE 4400. It's not a clone of the 414, but it has a similar workhorse ethic.

Upgrading gear.

Today, I decide to purchase a like-new U87 Ai matte. It's really a good Mike for Pop sound.
I also purchase for a pair of cc115 channel strip (including a Rack and power), after a week searching the Internet I just found only one link about this item. However my feeling is good. This make the sound birghter and the trimulator is so strong.
the cc115 is a channel of Amek classic, and designed by Rupert Neve.
I also looking for another AKG C414B. Hope with 2 similar mikes, my steel sound will beco… Continue

Debon VN song

Dear all, wish you all a good day :)

I've just finish a project for a new Brand of Debon ( member of LG co.) here in VN.
This song is writen about a beauty who's doing her make-up :). The lyric is in vietnamese , 'coz it's for Vietnamese.
I wrote the song, composed the beat, recorded vocal, sang back-vocal, mixed and mastered.
They gave me just 5 days for the final product :).
Take a listen and tell me how it work :) thank all 1st :)

Cheers.

Enjoy... Gimme some remark....Love to hear.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I don't understand what you mean by "Slutter intro". But I can tell you a few things I do. I set up fx channels tracks in Cubase SX. This allows me to apply each fx to any track. I use a mono delay panned all the way right set to 20 ms no feedback at 100% wet and any track that uses it is panned all the way left (creates space and increases stereo width). Another fx track is a double delay left set to 1/4 and right set to 1/4dotted set to 100% wet. This is the main delay that I use on many tracks. Another fx track is waves rverb with high end sizzle low cut big room, apply for effect set to 100% wet. Hope this helps. I also cut the low end off of all tracks except for kick and bass. I cut most high end off of kick and bass. Let me know if I can help you with any thing else.

Listened to the song "Me Myseft" in english. Love the slide guitar. And for being from Vietnam, you did alright with the singing in English. I had to think twice about your accent, was not sure there was one at first. Also thank you for the reverb tip, will check it out. Take care.

Don't worry about the lyrics there vary good and really love the arrangement of this tune.

Really like the drum sound and groove.

Love the new English track.

Yes the back up vocals need to be a little more in tune.

What instruments did you play on this cool track and did you write this tune?

Great job.

Hoi, Me Myself..English track up for review....what a track!

Musically, its a great piece, production, arrangement is top class for me.
Vocals are good, lyrics fine the only thing I can criticise you on is the vocal harmonies. For me the backing vox are flat, it doesn't seem to fit.

The idea of the overdubed vox is good, but I found it dragged the overall feel of the track downwards.

Its only a small thing because this track is brilliant, well executed and equal to anything I have heard professionally.

You have a bright future, keep knocking out the ideas.

Well done
