Denise McDermott Studer to Close Studer Production Facilities in Switzerland for False Profit

I recently learned that Harman International wants to close Studer Audio Production in Switzerland, where it has been producing consoles since 1948. They will ultimately be selling "Studer Audio Equipment" not made by Studer, but outsourced to be produced at the lowest possible costs. If they use their usual tactics, Studer Audio will end up being produced in China. It's like lip synching at a live concert! I'm tired of mid-level managers trying to cover up their own inability to innovate or c… Continue

John Lawrence Great IT service

Like most Ops managers, I’ve come across and dealt with my fair share of IT disasters. I’ve gone the route of hiring an in-house staff, only to realize that it exhausted my budget and half the time I was paying for employees to sit around and wait for a disaster to strike. I’ve also gone the route of hiring an outside company to run my IT support, again only to find that I was being overcharged at every turn and I had no REAL immediate support, more like we were put into a “Queue” and when our n… Continue

wanabeme308 Upgrading gear.

Today, I decide to purchase a like-new U87 Ai matte. It's really a good Mike for Pop sound. I also purchase for a pair of cc115 channel strip (including a Rack and power), after a week searching the Internet I just found only one link about this item. However my feeling is good. This make the sound birghter and the trimulator is so strong. the cc115 is a channel of Amek classic, and designed by Rupert Neve. I also looking for another AKG C414B. Hope with 2 similar mikes, my steel sound will beco… Continue

Mike Hillier And away I go...

Alright, so after a little work and some fiddling around with iWeb, I've managed to build something. The finished results are available for you all to see at www.mikehillier.me I've got a few future ideas that I'll be working on, including possibly putting up some finished Max/MSP creations in application form for you to download and play with. But first I'm going to have to finish some... on which note, I've been working on my kick drum synthesis engine, and while the plan obviously is to creat… Continue

Mike Hillier Website contruction

I've decided to build a website to use as a means of promoting myself as an engineer - basically I want it to act as a sort of online CV. At the moment it's very much in an "alpha" state. I'm building it with iWeb, which is so easy i think my mother could use it. I've opted to put pages up linking to all of my MTM features, tutorials and reviews, and I've put up a list of credits for artists I've worked with, which I hope to expand with links to the bands themselves. This is my first experience… Continue
